Build Experience
An internship designed for you
Completing an internship offers an opportunity for career development. Our program was created with you in mind. We’ve developed a paid, 10-week summer internship opportunity that gives you experience in a matrix, globally connected nonprofit organization. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Build your skill set and apply your knowledge in your field of choice
- Learn different perspectives in a cohort with other interns
- Learn from and network with leaders in higher education
- Provide real-world business recommendations through project support and solutions
- Explore potential opportunities for future employment

The Community Solution (TCS) Education System is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization that, since its founding in 2009, has been at the forefront of innovating the higher education landscape. Higher education is facing obstacles such as school closures, loss of funds, and increased competition. Despite these challenges, our organization continues to grow—and that’s because we’re challenging traditional views of the sector and creating new pathways. We embrace cooperation, not competition, bringing together distinct educational communities that share a common goal to enhance student outcomes.

Throughout your program, you’ll work on a meaningful project within your department and propose a real, strategic solution that can drive future achievements. This project allows you to directly impact our organization while bolstering your professional portfolio and skills.
Program Overview
10 Weeks Immersed in our Community
As an intern at TCS Education System you can expect to contribute to your department, learn from professionals in your field of study, and gain an understanding of how the System serves the TCS community.
You will participate in weekly development sessions to deepen your understanding of TCS’ operations, challenge you to think critically about your project work, and expand your professional network. The internship will culminate with a final presentation to TCS leadership on how your project has impacted the organization.
Weeks 1-2
You’ll start by meeting your team, learning about the department operations, and gaining familiarity with our community.
Weeks 3-8
You’ll contribute to your department by working on a real-world project that directly impacts our annual or Horizon 2025 organizational goals.
Weeks 9-10
You’ll complete your project, identify a solution, and give recommendations during a presentation to TCS Education System leadership.
Reflections from TCS Interns
Following completion of the internship, it is our goal to maintain valuable connections with all our interns to support potential future opportunities within our organization. Many of our previous interns have continued to work part time providing project support or have transitioned to permanent, full-time positions with the organization, which is one of our many proud accomplishments.
